Virtual Cockpit" for use with any helicopter in FS2002,
FREEWARE By Steve Hanley.

One of the hardest things to do in a flight-sim when flying a helicopter is to gain a good reference to the ground when hovering and when approaching a landing spot.

I found the Virtual Cockpit included with MS FS2002 prevented a good view of what was going on below the chopper, so I built my version of a "Virtual Cockpit" to help me hone my pilot skills. The cockpit allows you to feel as if you are inside the chopper and you will find that you have an excellent reference to the point directly in front of you so that hovering and approaching a LZ will become far easier. I have set the pilots viewpoint to be in the middle of the cockpit, and adjusted the horizon to give you maximum ground reference.

Digital gauges included are a Tq gauge, VSI, ASI, Radar altimeter and compass. The RA is set to zero by running the mouse over it when the helicopter is sitting on the ground. This allows for this cockpit to be used for any size helicopter.
